Anchor Terms and Conditions

Version: 1.0 · Issued: August 19, 2026 · Effective: August 19, 2026

Welcome to Anchor, a judge calibration platform operated by Jhanu LLC (EIN 36-5109774), domiciled at Cr 80 # 5 - 220, apto. 216, Cali, Colombia ("Anchor", "the Platform", "we"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you ("the User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

In case of discrepancy between versions, the Spanish version prevails.

1. Definitions

  • Platform: the Anchor web application and its API.
  • User: any person holding an account on the Platform.
  • Creator: a User on the creation plan, who publishes content.
  • Learner: a User who evaluates content to measure their precision.
  • Guest: someone joining a live class by QR code, without an account.
  • User Content: videos, sessions, courses, reference scoring, comments and any other material a User uploads or creates on the Platform.
  • Recorded Participant: any person appearing in, identifiable in, or recognisable in a video uploaded to the Platform.
  • Completion Record: the record that a User completed and passed a course.

2. What the Platform is, and what it is not

Anchor compares a judge's evaluation against a reference recorded by an expert judge and produces a precision score with an auditable trail.

The Platform does not grant qualifications, licences or official certifications from any federation, association or sporting body. A Completion Record attests only to what the Platform observed: that an identified person completed a given course, created by a given User, with a given score. Any federative, competitive or professional value attributed to it depends solely on the body that chooses to recognise it.

3. Accounts

  1. Using the Platform requires an account with a valid email address, confirmed through the link we send. Unconfirmed accounts are deleted automatically after the period stated on the Platform.
  2. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you register and for keeping your credentials confidential. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
  3. Minimum age. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Where a minor needs to use the Platform, the account must be created and supervised by their legal guardian, who assumes responsibility for this agreement.
  4. One account belongs to one person. Sharing credentials is not permitted.

4. Plans, payment and renewal

  1. Access is provided by subscription, under the plans and prices published. The learning plan gives access to published content; the creation plan adds creating, publishing, uploading video and running live classes.
  2. Free content. Certain content, flagged as such by its Creator, is accessible without a subscription and with no time limit. A Creator may change that flag at any time, and it creates no acquired right.
  3. A subscription is not a purchase of content. Access lasts while the subscription is current and ends with it. No ownership, perpetual licence or right to download any content is acquired.
  4. Merchant of record. Payments are processed by FastSpring, acting as merchant of record. FastSpring is the seller shown on your invoice and is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable taxes. Payment methods, invoices, plan changes and cancellation are handled in FastSpring's portal.
  5. Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for equal periods until you cancel. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.
  6. Refunds. Payments are processed by FastSpring as merchant of record, and refunds are governed by FastSpring's refund policy, without prejudice to the rights the applicable law grants consumers, including the withdrawal right of Colombia's Law 1480 of 2011 where it applies.
  7. Prices may change with prior notice, effective from the following renewal.

5. User Content and rights over videos

This is the most important section of these Terms. Read it in full.

  1. Ownership. You retain ownership of your User Content. Nothing here transfers ownership of your material to Anchor.
  2. Licence to Anchor. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, transmit and display your User Content for the sole purpose of operating and providing the Platform. It ends when the content is deleted, except for backup copies purged under our retention cycles.
  3. Representation and warranty regarding videos. By uploading any video, you represent and warrant that:
  4. You hold the express, prior and informed authorisation of every person appearing in or identifiable in the recording, for the use of their image for the Platform's purposes: evaluation, training and judge calibration.
  5. Where any such person is a minor, you hold the written authorisation of their parents or legal guardians.
  6. You hold any necessary permissions from the event organiser, federation, club or rights holder over the recording.
  7. Your upload and use infringes no copyright, neighbouring rights, image rights or applicable data protection rules.
  8. Responsibility. Anchor does not and cannot verify that such authorisations exist. Whoever publishes is solely responsible for obtaining, keeping and producing them on request. You will indemnify Anchor under clause 12 against any claim from a Recorded Participant or rights holder.
  9. Content removal. Anchor may remove or unpublish content, with or without notice, on a substantiated claim from a Recorded Participant or rights holder, on order of a competent authority, or where the content breaches these Terms.
  10. Requests from a Recorded Participant. Anyone appearing in a video may request its removal by writing to support@jhanu.com. We will act on the request and notify the Creator who published it.

5 bis. Community videos

Any registered User may publish a video to the community section for other registered Users to score and comment on. In doing so, in addition to everything in clause 5, you understand and accept the following.

  1. Who can watch it. The video can only be played inside the Platform and by Users with an account. It is not published openly on the internet.
  2. What does leave the Platform. Sharing the video's link produces a public page showing the title, the score obtained and a still frame taken from the video. That page is reachable by anyone holding the link, without an account, and search engines and social networks may cache it. Do not publish as community content any video whose still frame cannot be seen publicly.
  3. Third-party scores and comments. Other Users will score and may comment on your performance. Those are the opinions of whoever issues them and not of Anchor. The consensus score is a statistical result, not an official ruling or a certification, and evidences no sporting or judging status.
  4. Authorisation to create calibration content (required in order to publish). To publish to the community section you must allow a Creator to use your video to build sessions and courses, including paid ones. This authorisation:
  5. Is a condition of publishing, not an extra: the box starts unticked and the video is not published until you tick it. If you do not wish to grant this use, do not publish the video to the community — nothing requires you to, and the rest of the Platform remains available to you.
  6. Is free of charge: it gives you no right to payment, royalty or revenue share.
  7. May be revoked at any time from the Platform. Revocation prevents new uses but does not affect sessions already created before it, whose copy has an independent existence. To have those copies removed as well, write to support@jhanu.com.
  8. Requires that the image authorisations in clause 5 also cover this use. If the people appearing authorised the recording for training purposes but not for inclusion in commercialised content, do not tick this box.
  9. Reporting and removal. Any User may report a video or a comment. Anchor will review the report and may hide the content and delete the file, with or without notice, under clause 5.5. A Recorded Participant needs no account to request removal: writing to support@jhanu.com is enough.
  10. Publishing limits. Anchor may set and change limits on the number, duration and size of community videos, for storage cost reasons.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content without the authorisations described in clause 5.
  • Upload unlawful, defamatory or discriminatory material, or material exposing a person to harm or ridicule.
  • Use the Platform to monitor, profile or assess people without their knowledge.
  • Share credentials, or circumvent access controls or your plan's limits.
  • Download, copy or redistribute other Users' content outside the Platform.
  • Reverse engineer, scan or deliberately overload the infrastructure.
  • Use automated means to create accounts or extract content in bulk.

7. Live classes and guests

Guests join live classes by QR code without creating an account. The data recorded about a guest is limited to what their participation requires (a session identifier and their inputs). A guest produces no Completion Record and no certification, precisely because there is no verified identity behind it.

The Creator running the class is responsible for informing attendees about the processing of their data in that context.

8. Completion Records and certification

  1. A Completion Record is a self-contained record of a fact the Platform observed. It carries the holder's name, the course, the Creator, the score, the date and a verification code.
  2. Completion Records do not expire with a subscription. Your lapsing, or the course Creator lapsing or deleting their account, does not invalidate a record already issued.
  3. Retention after account deletion. By its nature, a Completion Record keeps the holder's name even after they delete their account: a record without a name attests to nobody. By accepting these Terms you expressly consent to that retention. The rest of your personal data is deleted under clause 9 and the Privacy Policy.

9. Account deletion

  1. You may delete your account at any time from your profile. You will be asked to confirm your identity.
  2. Deletion is total and permanent. It removes your account and personal data, the content you created — courses, sessions, references and comments — and the video files you uploaded, including those held in cloud storage. The latter follows from the fact that the authorisation to hold those recordings derives from your relationship with the Platform and ends with it.
  3. Effect on others. If you are a Creator, deleting your account makes your content unavailable to those who were using it. Consider this before proceeding.
  4. Exceptions. The following survive deletion: Completion Records (clause 8), audit records — with your email address erased — and information we must retain under legal, accounting or tax obligations.
  5. Your current subscription is cancelled immediately on deletion. No refund is issued for the unused period, except as provided in clause 4.6.

10. Availability, warranties and disclaimer

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, or fitness for a particular purpose.

We warrant no outcome from using the Platform, including improvement in a judge's performance, passing an evaluation, or a third party recognising a Completion Record.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Anchor's total aggregate liability to you, on any cause, shall not exceed the amount you actually paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Anchor is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, data loss, reputational harm, or consequences of federative, competitive or disciplinary decisions a third party takes in reliance on the Platform.

12. Indemnity

You will indemnify Anchor against any claim, penalty, cost or expense — including legal fees — arising from: (i) content you uploaded without the authorisations in clause 5; (ii) your use of the Platform in breach of these Terms; and (iii) claims by Recorded Participants or rights holders over material you published.

13. Third-party services

The Platform relies on providers for infrastructure, payment, email and anti-fraud protection. Their identity and role are set out in the Privacy Policy. Availability of the Platform may depend on them.

14. Termination by Anchor

We may suspend or terminate your account — with notice where reasonably possible, and without it where there is imminent risk — if you breach these Terms, in particular clause 5; if your use compromises the security or operation of the Platform; or where required by a competent authority.

15. Changes

We may amend these Terms. Material changes will be notified in advance to your registered email. Continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia.

The parties will seek to resolve any dispute in good faith within thirty (30) days of written notice. Unresolved disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of the Republic of Colombia.

17. General provisions

  • Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our written consent.
  • Severability: invalidity of one clause does not affect the others.
  • Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the complete agreement between the parties.
  • Notices: given to each party's registered email address.
